Get ready for a musical journey to the Río de la Plata, exploring the rich sounds of Argentina and Uruguay with Dos Esquinas. Led by Uruguayan singer Maia Steinberg and guitarist Renzo Navone Rodríguez, this dynamic duo brings their homeland’s music to life, blending traditional Uruguayan and Argentine folk elements with contemporary influences.
Mentored by Alvaro Rovira (Argentina), Maia and Renzo have crafted a repertoire that spans folklore and popular songs rooted in styles such as candombe, chacarera, tango, chamarrita, and zamba. They are often joined by guest musicians like Oscar Quiñones (bandoneón and viola, Mexico), Davido Bello Arcos (Colombia), and Alvaro Rovira (Argentina), enriching their sound with diverse talents.
Their performances have graced well-known venues across the Netherlands, including Culturehub in Rotterdam, Theatercafé Muze in Hilversum, Restaurant Post in Dordrecht, and Festival Storing in Eindhoven, bringing Latin American warmth and rhythm to Dutch audiences.
